Dan Strand has been buying, selling, appraising, liquidating and auctioning machinery and equipment for more than 25 years. Before entering into the used machinery business, Dan was employed by a major U. S. bank and worked with commercial accounts. Following his employment with the bank Dan was a sales rep and machinist for a machine shop in the Twin Cities. Because of these past experiences he has a clear understanding of the daily operations and needs of manufactures and machine shops.
Dan served as President of the Machinery Dealers National Association from 2001-2003. He is currently serving as Presidential Appointee and as Chairman of the Nominating Committee. He also serves on the Ethics and Mediation Committee and is a Trustee on The Austin D. Lucas Scholarship Fund. He has previously held the positions of Immediate Past President, President, First Vice President, Second Vice President, Treasurer, Chairman of Public Relations, Chairman of the Chapter Leadership Council, MDNA Board of Directors, Chapter Board Representative for the Milwaukee/Minneapolis Chapter of the MDNA, and Treasurer for the Milwaukee/Minneapolis Chapter.
He received the MDNA’s Darryl D. McEwen Leadership Award presented "In acknowledgement of outstanding performance by a volunteer while serving MDNA or one of its subsidiaries."
Dan has also served on the Association of Machinery and Equipment (A.M.E.A.) Board of Directors and Treasurer for the Milwaukee/Minneapolis Chapter.
